GOOGLE ENTER THE BATTLE BIG TIME

They don't hang around in the digital book world and no sooner has Apple's iPad shaken up the waters, than Google announce plans for their Google Tablet -

A Google employee tweeted a link to a video and illustrations of a concept tablet powered by Chrome OS on Monday morning, February 1.

What stands out most about Google's tablet is its size which is considerably larger than iPad's. Clearly, Google is not pitching its tablet as an eBook reader and it's easy to understand why.

Google, which is itself poised to enter the eBook market, sees no need for special hardware to read eBooks. They believe an eBook should be read using a browser, like every thing else online.
