I've spent all day being quizzed over and over by a police constable - the charge corporate manslaughter. Course I started the interview quite brash and cocky, after all this was a waste of time, health and safety gone mad. But by the end of the interview I was a broken man and facing a prison term of about ten years.
What a way to start a blog entry - seriously, though. I was cast as a Mr Ronald Jericho and I was the managing director of a construction firm that had recently seen a young member of its workforce fall to his death because some scaffold was not secured. The finished film will be used in law schools and for health and safety demonstrations. It's also going to be on the web and when it's up I'll post the link on the Archive should anyone want a look.
And now back to regular transmission - There are several interviews coming up on The Archive over the next few weeks - John Nesbit talks about westerns, bestselling historical writer Bernard Cornwell fills us in on his books including the world famous Sharpe series, Dean Koontz on life as a megaseller and Laurie Powers talks about all things pulp. And if that's not enough there will also be an interview with Cole Masters, sheriff of Squaw and hero in my upcoming novel, The Tarnished Star. The Archive will also be contributing to the usual memes - Friday's Forgotten Books, My Town Monday, The book Review Club and anyone else who will have us. I will also be a guest reviewer on the excellent Clint Eastwood Archive when I will be making a case for the little known, Honkeytonk Man as Eastwood's best acting performance.
Oh and don't forget Wild West Monday the third in June - I hope everyone will partake in out letter writing campaign. And once again, in the lead up to Wild West Monday, the Archive will present a solid month of western based posts.

It has probably been your dream to join the esteemed police force in your country. But you have also probably heard that getting inducted into the force is not a walk in the park.
